The cornoavirus s2m structure reveals several unique features that include potential sites for antiviral drugs to bind. This gives us (or anyone) the opportunity to design antivirals for an immediate response to the rapidly-emerging COVID-19 (2019-nCoV) threat.

- PyMOL saved-session of APBS-calculated electrostatics map
- Images depicting a charged cavity that tenaciously binds two Mg2+ ions in the crystal structure. This is likely an ideal target for developing a charged small molecule drug.
