Hammerhead Ribozyme Morphing of Crystal Structures
| This is a movie that was generated using the initial-state structure, a pre-cleavage intermediate structure, and the cleavage product crystal structure coordinates of the hammerhead ribozyme in conjunction with molecular morphing software (The Yale Morph Server) that performs adiabatic mapping with CNS to interpolate between structures. This approach has some limitations as described here. Despite this, the pathway determined by the morphing software is strikingly similar to that determined completely on the basis of crystal structures, which can be seen here. The movie was produced using Pymol and Adobe ImageReady. |
